關於後續活動是
因為我2/16 學校放假!!
most schools will be closed on 2/16
so
I decided to hold two more activities after tea time.

但可量到上班族群隔天的正常作息 ((我不知道2/16大家是否有放假還是沒 請告訴我)
玩到第二攤我想大家都沒力了 .^^

well
after the tea time ,
someone recommend singing @ K town as the second activity
and then
after singing
we can choose some jazz bar as the third activity
but it is optional.

Peter Mazza' Bio

Peter Mazza is an exciting Jazz Guitarist recognized for his passionate and poignant interpretations of the most complex jazz standards. Blending clean and fluent lines with colorful and inventive chord voicings, he creates lush solo guitar pieces as well as imaginative ensemble arrangements.

Born and raised in New York City, he was encouraged to pursue his interest in music by his father, an accomplished jazz pianist. Having graduated from the distinguished Manhattan School of Music, he has been playing and teaching for more than 10 years, and is currently the principal Jazz Instructor at the American Institute of Guitar in Manhattan.

Early on, his talent and persistence earned him a starting position in a four-night-a week jam session at Augie's Jazz Bar, now called Smoke. There he played with Brad Mehldau, Chris Potter, Larry Goldings, Christian McBride, Greg Hutchinson and Roy Hargrove among many others.

Peter went on to gain acceptance to the prestigious Thelonius Monk Jazz Competition, when he was ranked semifinalist by a panel of guitar greats including Pat Metheny, John Scofield, Pat Martino, Jim Hall and Mark Whitfield. He continued to gain recognition from other guitar masters,including invitations to play alongside guitarists Tal Farlow, Mundell Lowe and Joe Diorio in Master Classes at Smalls, the Greenwich Village Jazz club.

Combining musical originality, business acumen, and interpersonal skills, Peter has created and driven a variety of successful ensembles at popular venues such as Birdland, Metronome, The Blue Water Grill, Park Avalon, The Rainbow Room, Remi and Boom, among many others. His performance level and professionalism have led to several long term engagements, some existing up to the present. These steady gigs have in turn facilitated regular collaborations with guitarists like Kurt Rosenwinkel, Paul Bollenback, Jack Wilkins, Freddie Bryant and Jonathan Kreisberg, as well as other instrumentalists like jazz harmonica virtuoso Hendrik Meurkens.

Peter also performs his own compositions and original arrangements of Jazz standards at notable venues including The Cornelia Street Café, The Knitting Factory and most recently at La Lanterna Di Vittorio. La Lanterna is a classic west village café/lounge around the corner from the Blue Note Jazz Club, where Peter plays trios with a variety of great New York rhythm section players, every Thursday.

In addition to leading his own projects, Peter has distinguished himself through other musician's ensembles, including performing as an accompanist for organist Jimmy McGriff, and as musical director for vocalist Cheryl Parker in her debut at Merkin Concert Hall in New York City.

Peter's creative interaction with some of New York's most influential musicians has undoubtedly helped shape his own distinctive style. But Peter also credits his students, friends and family for being key sources of inspiration in his life and music.

Other than the wait at the chocolate place, I think the whole event was pretty good. I had a good time.

Just remember, the Jazz bar has food as well.

I personally don't listen to jazz a lot but I like the music that were played last night; sets the mood pretty well.

Oh and the milk shake at Max was probably the best chocolate milk shake I have ever had. (Also the most expensive)
